The truth of the end of suffering
The truth of Path that leads to the end of suffering
After prince Siddharta attained buddhahood and therefore omnissience 2600 years ago, filled with compassion, he first shared his insights regarding the nature of suffering and how to overcome it. This took place at Deer Park in Sarnath, India.
Buddha had recognized and overcome the illusions we all have. First among these is our limited understanding of the suffering all living beings experience. Even more limited is our understanding of the causes of suffering. Given this wrong understanding of the causes of suffering, it can hardly be expected that we take the correct measures to overcome them.
There are reasons for our lack of knowledge and wrong behavior, but without adequate guidance and information it is nearly impossible to take different causes of action. And therefore is remains our greatest wish, the innermost wish of all sentient beings, to gain true and dependable lasting happiness.
In this seminar we will take a detailed look at the authentic liberating information the Buddha provided regarding suffering, its causes, and the path to its end. In addition to theoretical knowledge, Archarya Lama Kelzang Wangdi will lead practical exercises through which the participants can use the knowledge in meditation practice.
The seminar is based on the text of the Dhammacakkappavattana Sutra, the sutra of the initial start of the turning of the wheel of Dharma.
All who are interested are welcome to this universal topic of buddhist philosophy.
