Ringu Tulku Rinpoche: One-Week Traditional Summer Retreat

Guru Rinpoche Sadhana teachings & Empowerment

Course number
7.5.
Instructor/teacher
Description

In July, we are again very fortunate that Ringu Tulku Rinpoche will be coming to the Kamalashila Institute for a five-day summer retreat.

The retreat will focus on Guru Rinpoche in 2025. Meditation on Guru Rinpoche is particularly important at the present time.

The special Guru Rinpoche sadhana that Ringu Tulku will teach us is a powerful method for overcoming inner obstacles, activating spiritual energies and receiving profound blessings.

The text comes from a terma cycle discovered by Rigdzin Jatsön Nyingpo (1585-1656). It is a practice that focuses on Padmasambhava and includes all three roots.

Externally the peaceful form of Padmasambhava as Lama, internally the wrathful form of Padmasambhava as Yidam Guru Drakpo and secretly Padmasambhava in the form of Senge Dongma as Dakini. Furthermore, the text also contains a long-life practice.

Ringu Tulku will not only explain the practice and transmit the lung, but also give us the empowerment of this special form of Guru Rinpoche.

In this retreat, we will thus receive all three prerequisites to carry out this practice authentically and beneficially.

In addition, the retreat will again be accompanied by our resident lama(s) Acharya Lama Kelzang Wangdi and Lama Sönam.

We are very much looking forward to spending time with Rinpoche and you in the summery Kamalashila Institute, surrounded by beautiful expanses of nature.
